I love these articles that appear regularly in various places. My only beef with the selections of great movies that showcase Italy is that they always leave out one of my favorite films, "Tea With Mussolini" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_with_Mussolini). TWM is the semi-autobiographical story of Director Franco Zeffirelli's childhood during WWII. The scenes shot in Florence and San Gimignano are terrific and the true story of how these British emigres helped to save the art in both cities is a great history lesson.
Then again, no one can watch "Under The Tuscan Sun" and not book plane tickets to Positano.
