Alaska is so big it is best to think of it as being five distinct regions as shown below. Overwhelmingly the tourist trade is focused on the Southeast and Southcentral regions and a smaller portion ventures to Denali and Fairbanks. If you want to go to Alaska, you will likely go in the period of April to early October.
